Rodney is a tiny Dolicothele Rufoniger sling I got in January i think. And on his first moult after one week with me it was clear he had 7 legs on the moult and on his body. The shop gave me a partial refund as he wasn’t cheap (an eye watering £60). I have D Diamentis and D Exilis slings as well. I just pulled out his second moult with me and yet again on the moult just a stump where the leg should be. But.. then I saw him come out and he has regrown a leg. I’m kind of fascinated. Will this leg potentially have function? The photo is the moult I just took out and yet he has a spindly little leg where the stump was.

Yes,, that sspindly leg will function and after his next moult it will most likely look quite normal.. It is one of the amzings things about Ts that they can regenerate parts of their bodies.

Another molt and it will be hard to tell it was missing at some point! My M. Balfori lost 2 legs and the pedipalp on her left side and one leg on the right was literally pointing up in the air and would just pinwheel around when she tried to walk. She molted popped off the bad leg and could hunt on her own again! Two molts now and she is whole again. One leg is no problem at all for T's. So your spood should be hunting and have function with her regrown appendage.
