Hello,

I am new to the forum. I wanted to see if others had information about a green bottle Blue tarantula not being able to eat after molting. My spider has molted about 2-3 months ago. My spider has molted before but it’s taking longer for it to eat. I am concerned something went wrong during molting. recently i tried to feed a worm, my spider tried to bite it but my spider let it go.

Hello. My green bottle blue moulted about a month ago. And its appetite seems to have diminished alot but not to this extent. One potential theory is about the sucking stomach, if it keeps the old one in a moult it can kill prey but not eat I believe. Hopefully someone else will chime in, does it go for pre-killed prey, some of my Ts will only eat crickets I have pre-killed for them. Are its fangs intact? Do you by any chance have the old molt because then you can check for the stomach. Age and sex? I’m sorry to hear your GBB isn’t eating. Mine has a small hole in her sternum and its so worrying.
