Hi guys/girls.
So I've came home at lunch time to grab a sandwich and to check on my GBB. And he/she is on her back ready to mount. I've been at work since 8 this morning and he/she was having a wonder round the enclosure.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi FaaFaa.
It's a very exciting time but I'm also very nervous to. He/she wasnt moving at all when I looked in the enclosure I'm just hoping the process is a success. I've never sexed a T before I'm just hoping I can get the moult out before it gets chewed up..
I will take some notes and add them to my ongoing journal..

Exciting stuff

Don't be nervous! It's very common for Ts to go still while molting. It is an exhausting ordeal for our little friends. Once you get the molt out you are going to want to spray in with water to soften it up so that it is easier to work with. I use tweezers to manipulate molts. Remember they are very delicate! To me trying to work with a molt without damaging it is more stressful than the molting T!

Hi FaaFaa.
It's an exhausting ordeal for me to and I'm not doing anything !! Lol
Is the GBB likely to push the old moult out of her hide ? I need to be 100% sure the GBB is still not attached before removing. I will try taking some picture of the freshly moulted T and of the old skin. Might post picture on here see what others think of its sex..

99.9% of the time you don't need to do anything except take out the molt when it's done. Don't try to help, takes a long time for some. That was funny when you said you came home for lunch and she was on her back ready to mount. I use to do that when I was married;) I know you meant molt:)

Usually once your T flips back over then they are done molting. You should be fine to carefully remove the molt then. I use tweezers so I don't upset my T. Try not to bother your T at all while it's hardening back up. Good luck staying focused at work!

Quick update.
I've been checking every half an hour on the GBB. I can see the moult on its side thought the tunnel entrance . And I think the T is sitting behind the moult upright. I'm not 100% sure the moult and the T are still connected so I think I will leave it until the T moves away...

Didn't manage to remove the moult as he/she was sitting infront of its entrance. Will try at lunch time ...

This looks more like a guide to sex your T ventrally. Remember when you are looking at the molt, you are looking at the inside of it.

I've put the T into a ICU and tried to water its mouth parts. Ive also put water in the tissue and holes in the lid and placed the ICU in the airing cupboard... Things were going all to well!!.

Gutted is a understatement!!
