Be careful! That speed....that speed! IT WILL GET YOU! I know my first pokie and my Vietnam Blue really took my breath away- even as slings- they MOVE. Its faster than the blink of an eye and so rehomeing is "FUN?!?!?!" LOL! All kidding aside, they are amazing to have, to care for, to feed, to watch, etc.; but just dont underestimate them.
After an experience rehousing an OBT, I now do rehousings in my bathtub with the shower door closed, so if they bolt, they're easy to recapture. Surprizingly, both the Rufilata and my O. Violacoepes crawled right into their enclosures with just a little foot tickling with a paint brush. As far as exciting rehousings go, the H. Maculata was the most challenging and uncooperative. Haven't seen that one in a while, But it's webbing up the top and bottom of it's cork bark tube

I only have a couple OW but when I deal with them in any way I’ve always found too much precaution is infinitely better than not enough precaution lol. How big is the OBT? The ones I’ve kept have gotten bolder with size, which is a good thing, as I’d rather deal with a threat posture than a bolt.

My OBT is abput 1.25". It's in a small imagitarium, so it;ll be a while before I have to rehouse it.

Believe it or not, my B auratum is my best feeder. She is absolutely nuts, mid air take downs etc. Very strong as well, she grabbed the plastic lid on her tank when I was taking it off to feed her the other day and ended up in a tug of war with her trying to pull the whole lid back into her enclosure. I couldn't believe how strong she was for such a relatively small animal.

Which species do you all think have the most aggressive feeding response? So far in my collection, the most entertaining are my Chilobrachys sp. "electric blue" and "vietnam blue, and my "Singapore blue". I tend to see more of them than my African species. Planning attend my first expo this weekend in Lebanon, TN. Species on my shopping list include C. Fimbriatus (I really like Chilobrachys), P. Rufilata (My first "pokie"), a "Cobalt blue", a "Hati Hati" and a P. Cambridgei.
It's got to be my p.irminia. it is a beast. I try to prepare myself for it but 9/10 times I get a bit of a scare as it comes bounding out of its hide and grabs the roach

That is why I remove the screens from my exo-terras and replace them with drilled acrylic.
