This is getting monotonous. Today Tigger, my C. schioedtei has chucked its old exo out of its tunnel so I haven't seen the T yet.

I don't often get pics of Data, Phlogiellus sp. baeri, simply because it is so fast and dives for the opening as soon as I try to water. It has completely buried its water bowl, cork bark and plant but never burrows under the substrate, it's a terrible mess lol.

Enn, P.vittata, has begun to be more active again

My OBT, Zera, deigned to show a few legs just to let me know she's still there.

Three new arrivals

Euathlus sp "red" - named Copper.

Holothele sanguiniceps - called Paria

Orphnaecus sp "Blue Panay"- I've named this one Taal and I think it's going to be fun. It tried to make a run for it as soon as I opened the pipette it came in so I hurriedly put it in a vial then realised it was too big so I had to get a cube ready - more fun.

Thank you. I enjoy reading bits about the counties my Ts come from and choosing names that have a connection so hence Taal and Paria is named after the Gulf of Paria off the coast of Trinidad and Copper is mined in Chile.

Nice Idea huh... Still my T's doesn't have their names, 'coz I am thinking what if I gave a name and it is a boy name then my T's was a female... I am thinking to give them names after knowing their sexes... But you really gave me an Idea and now I can search a name for them... Thanks!:D

Love the pokie pics. And I thought I was the only one with a cranky poec. My regalis female gives me threat poses constantly.

Congrats, nice new family members.
I googled Orphnaecus sp "Blue Panay": Wow, that's going to be a stunning spider!

It works well for uni-sex names. Enjoy your travels on the net.

Thanks. Actually both the pokies are amazingly placid but I'm always ready for them if they do get cranky.

Thank you. Yes, I just couldn't resist the Panay. I'm thinking it may be nearing a moult judging by it's shiny butt.

Surprise, surprise, the hairy one emerged from its cocoon today. Normally, although I can see it I can't get photos because of all its webbing.

Sasquatch, I. hirsutum, moulted 10 days ago.

Congrats... So hairy it is... On the last photo, it looks like a a multiple hairy caterpillar...

It does, doesn't it. When it's at rest it doesn't sprawl out like a pokie does but scrunches up so it looks like a hairy ball.

Post moult pic of my C. schioedtei, Tigger. So shy that I can aim the camera and by the time the shutter goes, it's gone.

Now some of my liitle diddy Ts.

Copper, E. sp "red"

Midnight, H. sp. "Midnight Blue". Yes, it is there or at least its butt, between the cork bark and the side of the container. This one thinks it's an ostrich, burying its head.

Cayenne, T. gigas, in its favourite spot upside down under the bark.

Pixie, K. brunnipes.

Paria, H. sanguiniceps

Tinto, B. albopilosum,. This is the smallest of my 3 curlies and not so tiny any more but very cute.

When I feed the tiny slings I usually put a few crickets into a little tub and just shake one into each vial but the other night I must have dropped a few more into Jumbie, my Cyriocosmus elegans, vial and spotted about 4 still there today. I'd not seen Jumbie since shortly after it came so to check on him I decided to rehouse it. I tipped the vial into a cricket tub and began routing around looking for the little T, getting desperate as I couldn't see it but eventually I spotted Jumbie's legs, a gentle nudge and it ran into a clear space where I was able to catch it and transfer to the new vial I managed to kill the crickets too.

That's Jumbie in the top corner of the cricket tub

And in its new vial.
