Eating habits

Hi there. So I have a rose haired tarantula and a pink towed tarantula. I usually just put a bunch of crickets in their cage and expect them to eat when they're hungry. It's been working for the last three months. But today I noticed both of them are hoarding food. I would say each of them have eaten for crickets in the last four hours. Seems excessive?

We all have different feeding patterns on our T's. And it depends on the individual T's and species as they may vary. As for me, I don't put too much feeders on a single ocassion for uneaten feeders somewhat causes stress on the T's. I feed my slings 3 to 4 times a week, one feeder at a time. I feed my adult T's 1 to 2 times a week, 2 feeders at a time. As I've said earlier, this may vary depending on the individual T based on your own observation. This is my opinion based on my observations on my T's. Other members may have other feeding patterns based on their knowledge and observations on their own individual T's. And they have surely succeeded on it.

I just add one roach and if they don't eat it then I remove it. Tough to say exactly how much to feed and how often because there are too many variables. I do however recommend removing uneaten food.
