I have a T showing signs of DKS and not a pretty sight so I'm contemplating to do the humane thing and freeze her as I'm sure it must be painful. I've read a few peoples ideas on Dks but no solid proof of anything so please if you have ideas please share. it cannot be genetics because i lost a whole collection of about 20 T's of different genus species before working in a zoo as curator but did notice a few flies???? any help will be appreciated!!!

I would put it into ICU, and then leave it somewhere warm/dark for a couple of days. I've read of a few people that had successful recoveries this way. Definitely clean out it's enclosure while you have it in ICU. Really hope your T pulls though!

So sorry Ray. Try the ICU and hope, but DKS typically is fatal. *hugs*

From my research it has the possibility of being a type of neurological block. It can be induced though chemical exposure. There is some on going stuff suggesting there can be a genetic component, as it can cluster in sac mates. But no one knows for sure.
