Hey everyone! I finally got my first T and iv waited a long time for it. I did my research and picked the curly hair because of its higher tolerance to lower temperatures. I bought a larger enclosure for him after he had his first Molt(which I got to witness first hand and got a few pictures of) and since then every night he sits up on the side of the container. Its almost like he has an arboreal personality. Another reason I bought the curly hair was becuase they are terrestrial. This wasnt just a 1 time thing. Iv caught him doing this several times. Curly hairs usually burrow dont they? Either i got the special one or this isnt a curly hair lol.

Lol funny, I have a P.regalis sling that likes to burrow... Until recently it's shown no interest in climbing at all but I noticed a few days ago its finally webbed a bit on the lid and around the little piece of cork bark I gave it. Just give it some time, it'll find itself lol I've never heard of a T with an identity crisis lol

The substrate looks quite wet which could be the reason, B. albopilosums like dry substrate. All 3 of mine burrowed when they were tiny and it was fascinating to watch them scurrying around down below.

What Enn49 said. If a tarantula is acting strange, try to find out what environmental conditions might be prompting that behavior. I've seen this behavior a lot in Rosies kept too damp. I keep my albos much drier than yours appears to be, although there is still a little moisture. Don't put a baby in a desert.
