Looks male. Friend joked that as a rule with Avi Avis bigger than 2 inches (and quite a few adult female Ts) if you see baby Groot's smile on the underside of your baby then its a female. Turns out to be true for the most part. Give it a try; turn that picture upside down. Think of the book lungs as eyes, and for a female a pronounced arched slit as the smile.
