So this little guy got held up in transit for just under 18 days in December 2024, done a full tour of the UK in that Time. Came from the south of Wales, through England to Manchester Airport, went on over to Northern Ireland and got lost, only for the tracking to pick it up again a few days later and starts heading to me, or so I thought. It then left northern Ireland to Edinburgh. Got lost again in Edinburgh, then eventually nearly 18 days later since being posted, arrived with me. There was a few Tarantulas and a mantis in the order, every other animal is doing great some have moulted a couple times and the mantis is now nearly an adult, think it will mature next moult. The little Avic though, it was so skinny as if it had just moulted then posted with no feed, the abdomen was all shriveled too, but the little guy pulled through, or so I thought, he moulted and got stuck bad, I left him a day then had to intervene to get it off his spinnerets so done that and all was good. Went to feed him and took it down no problem so I left him and when I looked the next day he had only killed it, the full cricket was still there, then same again with a small mealworm. Although because he was so skinny when he arrived I fed him as much as he would eat so he still had a bit of size after the bad moult. So anyway he has been getting checked on quite a lot, not disturbing the enclosure but looking, and last night it was at the edge of the webbing so I offered a pre killed mealworm which he wasn't interested in until I've checked today, the little guy looks like he's going to burst lol. So panic over I hope, here he is today.

Such a little trooper! I'm so glad it's doing better. It's scary when our little critters get lost in the mail but packing techniques play a big role in their survival during transit. Your baby looks fat and healthy now. Keep up the good husbandry!
