Just got my first scorpion, this is the enclosure they had it in at the store

Seen this and had to get a pic of my Pandinus Cavimanus! Sorry devil is almost always out! But noooo! Had to pull the cork flat off! Love this guy/gal. Loads of personality. Brutal watching him eat. Grabbed a large female Dubia from the rear and went to work! The head was still moving till consumed! That was brutal indeed!

I think this species is beautiful. They have a deep maroon on their claws and tailsin. Only scorpion we have. Not high on the get more list. Too many T's in the way.

Love it, had a few AFS in the past, I prefer the desert species though.
Did you know that all scorpions are biofluorescent, meaning they glow under UV light, pretty cool so it is.

That's female btw but can you get a more side on pic of any the claws? From that view though there is no visible dip.

Forgot to say in my last post that's assuming it's a Pandinus Sp. If it's Heterometrus get a photo of the underside pectine and I will gladly sex it for you.

I love my UK settlers, the Euscorpius flavicaudis. European yellow-tailed scorpion. They are not UK natives, but have been here since the 1800's at Sheerness Docks, due to Marble imports.
