If you want to keep her happy, I would also put her in an arboreal enclosure filled with peat so that she can construct a proper burrow. The current enclosure you have her in will not have enough burrowing space for her. These are housed properly when all you can see of them is some legs sticking out in the middle of the night when you sneak in with a torch.

I know. I didn't have enough substrate. I'm going to add some more when I buy. About the species thing: at least I know she's not a hybrid. I'm going to ask the owner of the shop about this but I don't think he'll even bother asking the person who he purchased it from about the location It was caught. I looked at her front pair of legs and noticed that everything except the metatarsal and tarsal was thickened. This is not the case neither whit the gigas, nor with the crassipes. I made some pics of the legs.

The enclosure that you have her in will not be able to hold enough substrate. As for the species, unless you can get a spider that came in with the same import, I would recommend not breeding it.

I know about the enclosure but they had only this and the other option was to hold her in a small box. I put as much substrate as I could and rearranged the terrarium. Now she's made a burrow and she looks ok. I think she's going to molt because she's blocked the entrance. For now I'm going to keep her in this terrarium. About the species: she looks like a gigas. I posted a thread in another forum and one person wrote she's a gigas. I'm going to ask several more people and decide what to do. Thanks for your help!

Best to buy a better enclosure then.
As for the species, please read my previous posts. If someone can identify that as gigas just by looking at it like that, I promise you, they are talking BS.
I know you are not gonna listen to me anyway, but don't breed her unless you can get a male that came from the same import.
Unless of course you want to sell hybrids.
Rant over...

I'll buy one in 1 - 2 months because I gave all my money for her and now I don't have any. It's going to be custom made for her needs (unless I find what I'm looking for). she's going to molt soon so I won't disturb her. I know that identifying a species by picture in this case is almost impossible so I won't rely on this much. I just wanted to see other people's opinion. I'm not irresponsible so I won't breed her unless I am certain about her species. I really wanted to see her care for her young and see if they become a colony. I don't want to breed her for profit. Also in our country nobody breeds tarantulas. There is occasionally somebody who has bread the usual NW terrestrials (that doesn't mean I'm going to sell hybrids!) so there isn't a danger for the captive population to get flooded with hybrids. I'm going to ask some very experienced people I know about the species and the pet store owner about the place she was caught. I definitely won't breed her unless I am aware of all these things. For now, let's hope everything will be ok with her molt. Thanks for your advice!

No need for a custom enclosure, just a taller one. I wouldn't recommend breeding, only the most experienced of keepers should breed in my opinion. Especially if you plan to keep the babies, chances are even if you are successful breeding your goal of seeing her take care of her young will be unsuccessful. Sorry to sound so negative there is just a lot of things to consider. By the way, sexing a balfouri is no different that sexing any tarantula, so to say you aren't good at balfouris makes no sense...
