With other species, I know that a darkening abdomen can be a sign of pre-moult, but with my A.avic her abdomen is already very dark. Is there a 'tell tale' sign (other than going off food) that she is going in to pre-moult?
Some of mine get a bit fidgety, I've seen them digging and pacing about, making a comfortable patch to lay on. I've only had two Avics moults and they both moulted while wrapped in thick Web, dangling off the side of there enclosures maybe the Web is a clue but I don't know for definateWith other species, I know that a darkening abdomen can be a sign of pre-moult, but with my A.avic her abdomen is already very dark. Yeh she might want a new coat for christmasWell she hasn't made any webs (minus a couple strands on the front of her tank), but she decided she was going to ignore the cricket I gave her this week. I'm not sure how long they average (I know there's no definitive time) between moults, but I do know she hadn't moulted in the 4 months her previous owner had her and I've had her for a month now...so maybe soon!

Tried to catch the cricket, but so far he's being and elusive bugger. Didn't want to tick Karina off poking about continuously...so I'll try again later. I currently have the humidity around 60%...should that be sufficient? If she's not eating, just stop feeding her, raise the humidity, and wait. She should moult before long.
Ok, that should be np. Thanks!I'd go for at least 70-80
Some of my ts don't go off there food for long before they moult .So I've been trying to catch that pesky cricket since Wed, to no avail. Just went up to give it another try, and looks like Karina decided to take care of it for me LOL. I <3 her! So guess not pre-moult after all, but glad she's eating that pesky critter
she will always be mummys baby they don't get huge anyway my ones have long legs but tiny little bodies.I kinda hope that she will moult soon...but at the same time I really love that she's still small. Ahh, mommy problems lol
