As per the title can anyone provide a photo of their 1 inch and also 1.5 inch G. pulchra?
I have suspicions on mine that it may be something else.

Here is an article that is interesting:
https://www.thetkc.org/usfws-statement-regarding-contraband/
I read it and I'm confused now. So what I gather it is illegal to sell and own Brazilian species. It also says if you do have them Fish & Game states to keep it/them and care for it/them since...
I have a question for experienced keepers especially those that been in the hobby for a long time.
I've done alot of searching and found nothing to answer this. I have seen people mention this here and other sites on personal claims.
I'm still a newbie and this topic has confused me for some...
I just received today 7/2/20 my enclosures from Jamie's Tarantulas. I ordered a juvenile arboreal enclosure which is nice. I also ordered a 7x7x11 enclosure. It can be used as terrestrial or arboreal.
The 7x7x11 is absolutely beautiful. Her enclosures are pricey but worth it for a prized...
So I was not aware that my Caribena versicolor was in pre-molt when I recently purchased it.
I woke up this morning and checked on my T's. I do this every morning. I was amazed that my little buddy molted in the middle of the night.
So I have no experience with arboreals. This is my question...
I caught a second brown recluse in the bathroom last night right before I went to bed. This one with it's legs completely opened up is the size of a silver dollar, no joke.
I still get a little creeped out from recluses as I still have some arachnophobia left. If I had a choice between this...
I finally got a new T that has been on my list for a very long time.
A 2 inch Caribena versicolor
It was an unexpected purchase just a little while ago. I have to buy a proper enclosure immediately.
The photo is bad I couldn't get a clear shot for a good photo, sorry.
Forgive my ignorance but I have a question.
1. Was Avicularia Metallica renamed? I went through the reclassification section and didn't see it.
2. Can anyone tell me what the temperament of a sub adult to adult is.
I have my eye on one and I am considering buying it.
I'm not an intermediate...
So my tarantulas got me a card and wrote in it 'Stop staring at us and leave us alone'........sigh
Wishing everyone who is a Father a very Happy Father's Day.
I was wondering if someone could help me here.
I finally have reached the point where buying just coco fiber is not cost effective.
Can anyone recommend a brand name of top Soil I can get from Home Depot to use for my T's? I plan on mixing it with coco fiber, vermiculite, (if I can find it)...
Well all I did was google tarantula breeders and an article popped up by 'National Geographic'.
After reading it I was mad that National Geographic didn't edit this journalist more. How he condemns T owners in the beginning was infuriating.
After reading the entire article I have mixed...
Looking for info from anyone that owns or have owned a Pseudhapalopus sp blue, Columbian Bluebottle.
How long did yours take to reach 1 inch from 3/8?
My G. pulchra is growing way faster than this thing.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
OMG I'm so excited...my first T I got a T. albopilosum is molting and it just started. He/she is on it's back and I caught it in the first phase. I got a photo but it is not a good photo and I don't want to manipulate the enclosure for a better one disturbing it.
I've been waiting for this...
Well my Pseudhapalopus sp. blue has only grown to 3/8 now. I knew they are slow growing but sheesh this is ridiculous. I'll be dead by the time it ever reaches even 3 inches.
So my question is are black Soldier fly larvae good feeders for these little slings? I can't do cricket legs anymore...
Was wondering if anyone has used an extra large kritter keeper for any of their adult T's?
Have you had any issues with any escaping? Any recommendations for it?
Seems like the lid is thin plastic so was just wondering. Got one in today from amazon for when my T. albopilosum reaches 5 inches...
Per the title....I have to buy small crickets for my slings and bigger ones for my nutbag T. albopilosum.
The plan is to go in and get out with just crickets.......but I have this itch that there is a small chance I'll be coming out with a new sling, just like the last time.
Being laid off...
So some might remember.....or not, that I thought there was a chance my G. pulchra sling died during molting.
GREAT NEWS!!!! Corona surfaced from his/her burrow alive and well. I wanted to get a photo and post but it's impossible. Everytime I try he warps down his burrow.
So......at least 15 minutes ago after just getting home from work I went to check on my babies like usual.
I look into the 3 inch T. albo, (biggest one I have so far) and didn't see him like usual. My first thought did he escape? I grab my flashlight and put it on the lowest setting.
I guess...
So my first T I named right off the bat Hope. It's the T. albo, my other 3 I haven't named yet as they will earn it in time.
Well my G. pulchra earned a name. Since I have been worried that it died as it's been in it's burrow sealed with substrate for over a month now. I named it *drum roll*...
