I've used this brand before for my T's and snake but I bought a bad recently and I found little bits of green stuff in it, mixed in with the soil, it's like a green charcoal/chalk or something, breaks up easily when you touch it...anyone no anything about it?

what size enclosure would you recommend for a single adult female? My research only seems to find communal set ups.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I'm still a relative newbie to the hobby, I hate losing an animal, any animal. I'm more assured now that it wasn't husbandry related, I actually got advice on it's setup before I purchased it and got the green light on the forums so I'm comforted by that.

I used a reptile heat lamp to dry mine, it works but it's time consuming, thats why I always try and buy the loose bad of eco earth for dry species, it may be a bit more expensive but its just so handy, in my experience blocks of coir and eco earth take an age to get dry.

Thinking of adding one of these to the collection, would a standard exo terra large faunarium be good for an adult female?

Yeah i'll be getting the biggest one they have, the large flat faunarium...its 18" x 12" x 6 1/2" (L x W x D)

I thought one of these enclosures would be too small if anything, with A. geniculata getting to be 7-8" big...

Would an adult curly hair be okay in an enclosure that measures 12.4 inches long x 8 inches wide x 10 inches high? I was going to use a large Exo Terra flat fuanarium but this really lacks height, it's only six inches high but there are vents on the side going all the way round that limit...
