How deep do you suppose they burrow? If you wanted to catch one, how would you go about doing it? Do you dig it out with a shovel? Flood it (but that may be bad if they have a sac/babies)? Pretend to be prey by nudging it's web with something? I'm curious to know how it's done in the wild.

I never dig or flood tarantulas out from their burrows. I consider it a highly destructive and idiotic practice as aphonopelma actually depend on old burrows alot, when a male leaves his burrow it's almost certain to be re-used by another aphono.

Nah, I just use a blade of grass and finesse. I dont get why people dig them up, it's faster and easier to lure them out. you just gotta be skilled, and not some caveman stabbing at the burrow lmao
