Why would a tarantula have its fangs out?

My tarantula was on the wall of its enclosure, as it so often is, and I noticed it was moving, out the corner of my eye, so I turned and saw what I thought was something on its mouth, but when I looked closer, its fangs were out all the way. It didn't seem threatened, stressed, and it wasn't eating. What are typical instances where a tarantula would extend its fangs like this?

If I were a T, I would have fangs out all the time too ;)

Seriously, I would check him/her for mites and make sure they are not in the mouth section. The mites like to get into the soft spots in there.

I'm very worried now. Her fangs were partially out, but not extended outwards as yesterday. She's been spending about the same amount of time on the side of the enclosure, but I noticed a brief spasm of her front legs and pedipalps onto her mouth, and she quickly moved a couple steps, which I was watching. her back left two legs were on the lid of the kritter keeper, and seemed to spasm for a couple seconds after. I thought that this could be because of the ventilation slits she couldn't find a spot to place her feet, but I've seen her hang out on the vent for hours with no trouble.

I checked her for mites, and I didn't see anything.

If her legs are twitching or like spasam it could be early signs of Dyskinetic Syndrome I don't know to much about it but go on youtube and check it out and see if the T's are showing similar symptoms

Just watched some horrible videos of tarantulas with DKS, and while the first spasm almost resembled it, that was the only time she did it. The second spasm, was more localized to her back left legs, and didn't look like the videos. That one was more like she was tapping her feet very rapidly in a tight radius.

Oh yeah she's a great eater. I got her 10 days ago, fed her 3 crickets total and she took down each of them within seconds.

I've always thought she walked a little oddly, but now I'm worried that instead of a quirky gait, it's a symptom of DKS. She often takes the same step multiple times (Taking a step, lifting the same foot, and placing it in the same area), and sometimes has stiff movements. Are these also things I should be concerned about?

That was just a thought there's probably nothing to worry about just keep an eye on her spiders do some strange things that's why we are fascinated by them

Does she often go into a threat posture? I had a nasty bird eater that always reared up when anyone even walked through the room! Fangs were out of course at that point.

This is a little baffling but, as Terror Corpz mentioned, each spider can be a bit....unique. Keep us posted and hope this turns out for the best.
