Based on your photos, my T looks like the first one. But I thought I had a rose hair. I'm a newbie so common terms would help me out.
Does this mean I don't have a rose hair? Or do I still call the porteri a rose hair?

What's the common name for the porteri?
All the species I listed will be sold under the generic "Rose Hair or Rosie" which is a pet store trade generic name.
1st pic is a Grammostola porteri, under good natural lighting you will get the blueish highlights on the femur as in my pic. 2nd pic is Grammostola rosea often called the red color form (rcf).
Cant say which one you have, post some good pics preferably with lighting from behind, the flash turned and off no enclosure glass/acrylic in between.
