I've had a death in the family I relocated one of my tarantulas to a larger enclosure due to his size. However, at some point, and it wasn't during the transfer because I kept an eye on him, he managed to get between the mesh lid and the tank and got squished. I was devastated when I found him. I want to get a replacement of the same type, but I've questioned his type ever since I bought him last year. I was told he was a starburst, but I don't think that's correct. I have a very large ornamental baboon and I was told he was actually called a starburst. So I've attached some pics of my loss and I was hoping someone could give me a positive ID on him. I'm not an expert, but I've kept tarantulas, frogs, scorpions, reptiles, saltwater and freshwater fish, for over a decade and non-fish wise, I've had only two deaths. One was a curly hair maile who was six years old and now this little guy. I just feel that if I get another of the same kind that I'd feel batter.
Thanks in advance,
Richard
