I'd only been downstairs a few minutes this morning when I went to make a coffee and let the dog out into the garden when I heard a thump. Thinking it was either my son bumping something upstairs or the dog head butting something in the garage, I wasn't too worried but then my son shouted "Help, mum". I shot through to the living room to find my son holding 2 cats, then noticed the broken viv on the floor, Trip's ExoTerra, substrate and broken glass everywhere. My son drew my attention to Trip on the floor on her back, tight against an old record case unmoving. Without thinking I just scooped her up, grabbed a cricket tub and gently put her in the right way up, she moved a little so I at least knew she was alive. I left her for a while until I'd cleared up the mess by which time Trip had climbed up the side and stretched out seemingly alright after the fall.

Her viv had fallen 4' bouncing against the edge of the cupboard below. We worked out that one of the cats must have been after a cricket in Trips viv, got his claw hooked in the mesh on top and pulled the whole thing down.

I left her to calm down for an hour or 2 before housing her in her old, small container. She did not want to go in it and ran, luckily inside an ExoTerra viv. Third attempt I got her in. She has a small injury to one leg but otherwise seems fine.

She's been a very lucky girl, I can't believe she survived.

Btw Enn, that's how I ended up holding my P metallica too, only she bolted out the top and I stuck my hand out and caught her when she jumped. Luckily for both of us, not all Poecis are devils :p I have to seriously annoy my metallica to get a threat pose (like prompting her to move when rehousing, and she's not feeling tolerant.)

I think she was just too shocked to retaliate but I'm still stunned that I picked her up.

Wonderful hun! So glad she seems ok!

There was a small amount of fluid leaking from the underside of a joint on her leg but it seems to have stopped as there's no sign of any on the cork now.

Corn flour dusting to be on safe side or not?.

I've just left her alone, I think she'd had enough of a scare without me grabbing hold of her again but it was a tiny split

Good idea. I used a pipette to dust without having to actually touch, make sa bit of a mess but was effective in hitting thr spot needed if you do have to go down that route

@Phil It's underneath her leg so not easy to get too in the container.

@Fuzzball79 Thank you.

She's moved around the cork bark and has been cleaning her face.
