The ultimate enclosure

Acrylic has its issues. Glass has its issues. Mesh lids are a no no. There's just so many things wrong with so many enclosures. But, after days of searching, what exactly is wrong with this? It looks like a premium acrylic enclosure, but its polycarbonate - it doesn't warp.

The ultimate enclosure? Or am I missing something

"Air Convection Design.... Makes pets more comfortable" o_O:rolleyes::eek:

I wonder if they mean like many other designs it only has air holes in the lid? I would also be interested to know what evidence they have to back up that claim & they do need provable evidence to make such a claim in advertising.

The reality is, the perfect enclosure is the one that suits your needs for that particular T. And I am not sure that being made of polycarbonate plastic has any real advantages for us. As most other commercial materials seem durable enough for our needs & that is the big advantage with polycarbonate plastic, it's strength & weight, as opposed to glass. Which is why it is used in security applications.

Personally I use a mixture of plastic, acrylic & glass enclosures. Most of the enclosures I use for my adults are commercial enclosures. But most of those I use for my dwarf's larger slings & juvi's are kitchen tubs of one form or another.
