So my juvenile brazilian white knee has curled up and for the past 4 ish that ive actually noticed this, its legs have just been wiggling about but nothing happening. i was worried it could be death curl but its yet to die, i then figured it could be preparing a molt but after the 4 hours ive noticed no molt has started. ive sprayed more water NOT on the tarantula, away from it to keep its home humid. ive put in a water bowl even tho i was gonna wait until the next molt as its still about an inch big so i didnt want it to drown but i still did as it could be dehydrated. if its stressed im not sure how to help it but just leave it, i went on holiday on the 23rd on june so i fed all my tarantulas on the 22nd but i have not fed them since i know i shouldve and i will tomorrow when gotten crickets, but my brazilian white knee has been having this strange behaviour and im not sure what to do. could it be dying, could it be preparing a molt but its just struggling, is it stressed or dehydrated id like some help pls. ive attached an image of the tarantula. thanks.

You need to stop listening to ChatGPT when it comes to T's...it's useless and often wrong. The substrate looks too damp, keep one side on the dryer side and one side the same as you have it in the pic.

What's the ventilation like in the enclosure?

okay sorry, the tub does have long holes around it and all my other tarantulas have ventilation too, the soil may be to damp then as both sides i have sprayed lots, the other side is more damp than the side in the photo.

Has the T been in contact with any chemicals? Any candles/incense burning in the vicinity of the T?

That's good, we could rule that one out. I'd add some dry sub to one side of the enclosure, while keeping the other side damp. From here, monitor her and let us know how she does.

ill be heading back home in an hour so in about 2 hours im gonna check on her, i will add dry soil to one side and hope shes still kicking about. when im back would it be a good idea to freeze kill a cricket to keep it fresh and see if it would eat it? as maybe as not eating in 2 weeks it could be hungry?

Abdomen looks really healthy, so I'd hold off of feeding for now.

As long as the abdomen is larger than the carapace, you have nothing to worry about.

When the T gets fat and dark, it's most likely in pre-molt.

yea i still have alot to knowledge myself on tarantulas. whats the carapace, is it the body where the eyes are? and yea this little buggers abdomen has been fat and dark for awhile now but it only molted 2 months ago

Yup!

And I do agree, the abdomen looks fat and dark; but not enough for pre-molt in my opinion.

just to update, its still curled up but still slight leg movements. i am gonna add some dry substrate now and mix it up a bit on the other side so i will still leave the spider alone for now
