Do you have any species that surpassed your expectations?

For example I didn’t expect to be blown away, but I’m enjoying my O. philippinus a lot. I really ended up falling in love with its fun behaviors and how sleek it looks especially after a fresh molt.

Curious to hear what experiences you all have had.
Got to be Psalmopoeus Cambridgei. After only having a couple slow terrestrials at the time was my 1st arboreal T, I was blown away with it and still am to this day it's my favourite T of all time. If you could only keep one T that would be mine. They go through so many different moods during moults it's like having a new T every time.

Sericopelma santa catalina.
I knew they were pretty after seeing them on a Tom Moran upload , I knew I needed one as soon as I saw them but nothing prepared me for how absolutely stunning they are rl. Not only are they beautiful but they dig like there is no tomorrow destroying everything and anything in their path. I couldn't be without one .
They get massive too which is always a bonus .
My beautiful saf Dani Calafornia.

This was an easy one! My Chilobrachys Keang Krachen! For a Chilobrachys nothing but a sweetheart. The rehouse into this enclosure had no threat poses, biting etc! Just eight toe claw lock down and two palps for good measure. Thought I was going to hurt her trying to get her to move with a paint brush! Getting her back out of the catch cup was a nightmare indeed! Believe I prefer bitey and flighty!! Lol. At least they moving! Took the pic right before posting and this is what she usually does. Sweetheart indeed!
