Tarantula Hawk Bite/Sting

Hi Folks,
Here is a question that I have that maybe someone will have an answer to. I work in the oilfield and as I was going down one of the lease roads I noticed something weird looking going across the road. I got out and it was a big black wasp looking bug dragging a silver dollar sized Texas brown tarantula. After some research, I found out that the black thing was a tarantula hawk, which sting and paralyze the tarantula and then drag or carry it back to its nest to plant an egg in so it can feed on the tarantula from the inside out until the tarantula dies, which takes about 2 weeks. So, with that being said, here is the question.

Does anyone know if the tarantula will be paralyzed until it dies or if it will snap out of it?

If I understood the info on the black wasp thing, I got it away from it before it could plant the egg. Right now I have the tarantula at home. Hopefully he will snap out of it.
Anyway, thanks in advance guys.
Dennis
I included a picture of the little guy.

Not necessarily. I have heard of several cases in which people have "rescued" Tarantulas that were paralyzed by wasps and they did eventually make a recovery. They were extremely slow recoveries however.

Thanks for the responses, he is still paralyzed for the most part. He moves his legs slowly if I handle or scoot him, but it is like super slow motion. I'm not gonna give up on him though. When I looked closer at the the picture zoomed in, it looks like he got stung around his eyes, so not sure if that hit any vital areas. Anyway, I will keep this updated on his progress.
Thanks,
Dennis

Good luck with it. I too have heard of Ts recovering but I think it's a fairly slow job.

Sorry its took a bit to reply. He is still pretty motionless. Last week he did manage to veeeeeeerry slowly move from one hand to the other. It wasn't much, but he seems to be headed in the right direction.
Thank you @Enn49 for that link. That was a pretty awesome thread. I am gonna try to make some of that gut soup to see if he will suck it down. No telling when his last meal was. I will try to keep updated as often as I can. Thank you to everyone.

It sounds as though he's on the right road at least. Good luck to you both.

I'm subscribed to a guy named Greg Rice on youtube, he has a few very interesting videos of his rescue and rehab of a tarantula that got hit by a wasp. To be honest it was kind of awesome. Hmmm, I replied to the wrong guy, my bad.

Hello,
I lost track of this some how when work started getting crazy and hours got changed and I apologize for that. The little fellow got to where he was moving along pretty well, not quite full speed, but a vast improvement.
I fed him alot with a syringe. I mushed up cricket guts and mixed with water. I always did it on his back and he responded well. I would let him out often to venture around the living room and he seemed to do really well. I let him go in our back yard the other day so he can have his second chance. Maybe I will see him again one day :) .
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know and to thank you again for all the help.
