Good deal. They like it a bit more moist also so a larger dish will help with that :)
Agreed. Also, don't soak the entire floor of the substrate or you could have problems. I have a Gatorade bottle with water, and 20 or so small holes in lid that, once every couple weeks, simulate a quick, light rain, just to help out. I let it dry out before doing it again tho

Id put some springtails in with him, that will help keep the enclosue clean, high humidity = mould. Spring tails will keep on top of all that, you will just need to keep on top of keeping his water bowl full and removing leftovers. The latter in my stirmi tank is few and far between, my springtails clean up all the leftovers aswel haha.

what are springtails? A plant? Or a other bug that just cleans up? Never heard of this

Like tiny woodlice (bugs). They will happily live & reproduce in the enclosure, they will keep it clean and also pose no threat to your spider, even when its molting. They are sort of a clean up crew.

The reptile shop I go to get crickets at have springtails for sale in a container. If you can't find them locally - there are lots of online reptile places who will probably ship them to you.

almost all of the roach and cricket vendors online sell some type of cleanup crew. My last couple roach orders came with some kinda beetle larvae i'm trying to get rid of. they pupate into little black flying beetles i'm finding them everywhere around the house now. I'll be using springtails soon as i get this mess resolved ;)

I get little beetles in my lateralis and dubia both. They don't fly though, I think the lesser mealworms turn into them. I see a few of the mealworms occasionally, but more beetles. I think they must pupate quickly.
