A. laerta, Frio has moulted and now has all eight legs again having lost 2 when it moulted during shipping.
Amazing how similar slings look to versicolor slings. I always enjoy an Avic with a bit of attitude.

Well, I've thought for a couple of days that Trip, my P. metallica had moulted but I'd only seen a bit of her through her web until tonight when she appeared and then I found her exo pushed out the bottom of the web.

Just got home to find my first tarantula that I got, My 1/4" euathlus sp red just died from getting stuck in the molt... I would have put it in an icu or something but I was at work so sad to lose a tarantula

Awesome pictures! How common is it for a tarantula to get stuck in a molt?

I don't really know, tbh. I don't think it's very common if the right husbandry is provided and the spider itself is healthy. Apparently in most cases it's only a small part of the body (legs and co) that get stuck and not the whole body.
My LP dragged its molt behind him once, because a tiny part was stuck to his back, but that was easily resolved with a wet cotton bud.
