I read there might be fluid oozing out of joints before a molt, but that looks excessive :/ I hope the best for you and your spider

Thanks guys for your worries... I red some advices online and really for a beginner like me it is very hard on which or what to follow, hard to decide and to take action... I am worried what if it doesn't work... I red that I need to carefully pull the exoskeleton by tweezer, but on his/her situation I am afraid that his/her legs be pulled out too... There was also that I need to use super glue to stop it's hemolymph... I red also that even those limbs we're damaged and removed, they will regenerate... I am already aware about that, it happened to my B.Boehmie, but what if not only one leg?

I checked him/her this morning and still stacked and luckily alive... Those hemolymph was dried out... Seems like she/he wants to pull himself/herself out to its exoskeleton... After work, I will try to follow some advice with cautious and try to be somekind of T's surgeon... Wish me moe luck guys...

tyne & wear uk
i totaly agre with u on being a beginer & how hard it is to decide and to take action it sucks at first. i had to make a similar decicion when i droped my b,smithi enclosure & its abdomen split, luckly i made the wright decicion at things have been ok so far.

u will need to remove the rest of the moult when u get home if its still stuck !!! (i can only surgest what i have tryed my self)
i would pick up some cotton buds & get a bowl of warm water & try to wet the moult as mutch as possible before u try to remove it, this should make it a bit more plyable for u to work with. HOPE ALL GOES WELL for u :):):)
keep us up dated !!! fingers crossed

Thanks spidey... I also have the same thoughts, cotton buds with warm water... But on her/his position, for sure those limbs stucked on its exo is 80% damage and may loose... All of it's legs are crawled down and for the time I got home my T.Chevron's new exo probably hard already... Whatever the outcomes, I hope he/she survive... This is one of my Fave T's...

Hi Thivo,
I'm sorry to see your predicament with your sling,As you already know your going to have to take action and try and help the T out of the molt as time is running out here as the T will be starting to harden up.
Now there's no right or wrong solution here but your best bet is to get a pair of tweezers and a small wet paint brush to try and get the exo as plyable as you can then with you tweezers gently pull the exo near a leg joint if the sling has any energy left it should be able to then pop the legs it's self if not your probably going to have to amputate the ones you can't get free now when doing this snip the joint closest to the body but on the tarsal side of the joint by doing this the bleeding should stop by its self once the legs are out you should then be able to get the rest of the exo removed without to much trouble just be sure to make sure you get it all away from the book lungs.
Best of luck and I hope all goes well I will keep my fingers crossed for you....

Thanks for the advice Ghost, I really do appreciate it... I follow some of your advice and really unfotunately it was too late for me to remove it successfully.... :(

I really feel sad and so depress after what happened to my T.Chevron...
Yesterday, I am so nervous while doing the process of removing it’s old exoskeleton that stocked on his legs, I bought scalpel that I think will help... I just moisten it’s tissue paper where the T’s lying in and I use few cotton buds, dampen unto a warm water that serve as my tweezers... It’s exoskeleton was dried already and my T’s new body also hardened… I drop water on the exoskeleton to soften it and keep it for a minute or more… Observing if it really helps my T to get out, but it looks like dreadful, the exoskeleton is really dry... So I leave it for a while and give more time for I thought that the exoskeleton will absorbed some water and make it soft... When I check it after 30 minutes, it was so sad that there is no progress and still my T is stacked… So I then made a decision to pull the exoskeleton out on its body/legs... I carefully and slowly use the scalpel to tear down the exoskeleton, but while removing it my T was moving seems like it hurts... I stop and think what other option I can do... I pick one leg from old exoskeleton and slowly pulling it, and success! But half of its limb was like a vegetable, not moving just hanging... So I continued and do the same way with its other legs... Unfortunately it was unsuccessful :( and the rest was detached... Maybe because all remaining legs are just almost half way before it was stocked and it was dried crawled down, one reason of difficulties removing it…:(
Now, after the stressful and bad illness operation... Here is what my T looks like... It seems like a green sea turtle wanting to get into deep sea…

I checked his/her condition this morning and he/she is really a fighter... Still alive and strong, but for sure stressful and full of pain... I am jsut hoping that he/she will fight till to the next molt and if it happens, I wish that those removed legs will regen... Just keeping the faith...

I'm glad to hear the little guy is still fighting and hope that continues,I really don't no what to say that will help as I've never had a sling at that size with that many limbs missing.
The only advice I can give is if he manages to survive is keep him in the ICU with damp paper towel and once his fangs darken up then you can try and feed him pre-killed prey if he eats which i dont think he will but if he dose then you should feed him more than usual then he should be able to force a molt much quicker than normal in order to regenerate the missing limbs.
I'll keep everything crossed for you and the little guy and hope everything goes well...

OMG...I'm so sorry!! That partial leg should come off...it'll keep leaking from that point, and the spider could bleed to death. It has no ability to stop leaking hemolymph from that point.
Info from the Tarantula Keeper's Guide:
The T has the ability to stop the bleeding if the leg is lost at the joint between the coxa and trochanter. That joint seals itself to form an empty socket near the T's body. If enough force is applied on the femur, this coxa-trochanter joint (the weakest joint of them all) is the place that will tear first...and the T will remove the leg itself if it can. Since it's missing so many legs, it may not be able to remove the leg, tho, even if it wants to. Glad it didn't lose it's chelicerae or fangs! Even if it can't move well, it should be able to survive with your help feeding it, and will molt out of it. GOOD LUCK!! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you! (Remember: doing nothing would've been sure death...at least you gave it a fighting chance!!:))

I really appreciate your concern Ghost and thanks for advice... The little guy is doing well now besides of it's missing legs he/she can manage to move himself/herself around the ICU and this morning when I check, I saw him/her attached on the other side of ICU, which is good indication that he/she is doing fine... Later, when I get home I will try to feed her/him a chunk of shrimp or try to improvise a small bowl and place it inside ICU and will observe time to time if she/he will eat... If not, I am planning to put him on a vial which has limited space and more easily for her/him to get its food...

Thanks PamCz, I also thougth about that and honestly I ready my superglue, because I red also that a small drop of superglue will help to seal and stop the bleeding... But I didn't apply that instead, I just used a wet tissue paper and cotton bud wet with warm water and gently, carefully wipe the hemolymph but not touching it's body, luckily after several minutes it stopped and dried out...

This little guy now has my attention most of the time compare to the other T's... Will try to hand feed her/him and I hope she/he will cooperate...
