For the last few days we have had some lovely sunshine. Most of my Ts are away from the direct sun but for an hour or so each afternoon it skims across some of their containers. I noticed the other day that my LP, Mole, was sitting in the corner where the sun was catching his container so I have watched him over the last couple of days and he definitely follows the sun across the container.

Does anyone else have a sun worshiping T? If so what species?

never noticed any of mine liking the sun. but with winter it's dark when i leave and almost dark when i get home so i don't get a chance to notice. I'll have to watch them when my house is finished being repaired and see if any like the sun. Most of mine, except the 2 GBBs and the A. chalcodes will avoid light from the flashlight, so it will be interesting to see how they act to sunlight.

Some Avicularia, namely versicolor, need more sunshine than other Ts to thrive.

But, as Mass said, I also think that what Ts are looking for is heat. When I light my furnace in winter, all my Poecilotheria get out of their cork bark and take a break on the glass of the enclosure, as close as possible from the heating source. So sweet!
