Spider not eating

NEVER feed wild caught insects. NEVER EVER EVER EVER.

Never.

Brachypelma will go weeks, sometimes months, without eating. It's NORMAL. And there is no reason to feed pre-killed anything to a tarantula that size. It will eat if it wants to eat.

Didn't pay attention for 5 mins, The cockroach seems to have vanished, No idea if spiders can eat that fast or it hid in the substrate somewhere.
Put in a second one just to be sure, just now i found one crawling out of the substrate (it's a very thin layer of maybe 0.5cm because it's a temporary enclosure.)

It takes tarantulas an hour or more to eat. Several hours, usually. The cockroach is hiding.

You're only going to bother the spider if you keep putting feeders in there that it doesn't want to eat. STOP FEEDING IT. It doesn't want to eat AND THAT IS NORMAL.

agreed. Never use wild caught bugs, no idea what they could be carrying or infested with.

Only T of mine that has eaten pre-killed so far is the avic. all the others have ignored it or buried it. Still can't get the rosea to eat but that may be cause all my pinhead roaches are bigger than she is now lol. Going to order some more on payday and try again. She ran from the 1/4" section of mealworm i put in for her.

Anyway a T that size shouldn't need any prekilled as @Bugmom said. Leave it alone for a week or so and then try feeding it, they eat when they want.

Maybe your T just entered into premolt phase. Please read around about premolt and molting Ts. :)

At least it wasn't the cockroaches, since i know she will eat these now, i think i'll stick to them, It's kinda expensive to get them just because of the shipping
But i guess they will last quite a while if they don't grow too fast. Got about 40 i think.

What kind of roaches are you feeding your Ts? You can easily begin a colony with 40 buggers. Just give them the room and feed them fruits and veggies once a week and your set. ;)

Dubia, read that these were good, picked them out of the options the webshop offered.
I've only got one spider, don't think keeping a whole load around to breed is gonna be a good idea.
