Hello,
Does anyone out there have any experiences in keeping a Spaerobothria hoffmani? I have an adult female that I purchased a few months back. I was expecting similar behavior to a Ceratogyrus darlingi (East African Horned) which I have owned in the past and currently have a sling.
This is one odd spider. She seems almost lackadaisical. She changes locations in the tank every evening but during the day sits completely still and unmoving even out in the open. I have found her even hanging upside down on the top of the screen mesh and she sits there all day. She is eating, as the crickets disappear within a day, but I have never actually seen her eat. I was really expecting a more aggressive species. I have been keeping the tank at 70 degrees and app. 65-70% humidity which seems appropriate for a tropical mountain species. Slow moving at best. She has been like this since I obtained her. However she has molted once (about 2 months ago) and I thought that may cure the issue but it has not. Worried something may be wrong with her heath? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
