So I'm working on something that would aid people who want to transfer spiders and other inverts who don't own a bath (I have a shower.. I don't stink honest).

I've worked with blades and needles and dangerous mammals where we used to use something like Rhino gloves (riot police anti stab gloves that are pierce resistant).

I was wondering if anyone knows any other brands I can test out?

Have you researched the bag method Roo? It just seems like picking up a spider with thick gloves would be a bad idea, as you can't really feel much through gloves like that, and they are really delicate animals..compared to us anyway..just a thought. Or am I off base on what you're doing with the gloves?

You're not far off but not correct either :D

I wouldn't pick up most T's.

What I'm working on is like a baby ICU. Think of a box with holes in it. The gloves are just for added protection.

Ahh. Interesting, let us know how it turns out!

I just looked at the bag method and it's not that different, except you could put both containers in the box (think of two huge plastic boxes taped together) then there are holes in the lid (I find top down is a more manageable position. Then you put your hands through the holes (which will had flap doors on them) however I'm looking for a pair of gloves to use. I've used needle "proof" gloves before, probably work for a T. They are not 100% reliable protection but it's better than bare skin.

You know I still use the tub for all my quick spiders...I never thought about people who just had a shower stall..that kind of sucks. But good idea, Roo, nice to see people use their brains :)
