Rose Hair substrate

I purchased a what is a 4th instar Rose Hair which was in a deli cup. I have moved it to a 4x4x4 acrylic enclosure and used Zoo Med Forest floor bedding about 2.5 inches deep. I moistened it slightly and put in a small log. The Rose Hair hasn't spent anytime on the substrate. It is either on the sides of the enclosure or on the top of the log. Is that normal behavior with it being a ground dweller? Could it not like the substrate?

Use dry coco firbre, Chilean roses only likes dry substrate, that's why yours is not on your damp substrate I would not use zoo med forest substrate far to damp
