Hey everyone. I was wondering how your aphonopelmas behaved during winter. Specifically hentzi, anax and chalcodes
but do they stay out in display? been told people dont find theirs out in the open during winter months. They eat less and get more grouchy because they go into diapause in winter.
Depends on how warm it is. Once it dips to the 40s they start sealing offbut do they stay out in display? been told people dont find theirs out in the open during winter months.
If you keep the room in the mid 60s?Depends on how warm it is. Once it dips to the 40s they start sealing off
Does she do that if it's cold outside and warm indoors? or does she do it if the temperatures dip indoor? My chalcodes burrows and closes off its hide in the winter, doesn't come out until it's a bit warmer.
jonnycashi? is that a joke? or did they really name a species after Mr.Cash? My chalcodes & my jonnycashi are both out all year round.
Recently described in 2016 during aphonopelma revision. Named after cash because the type specimen was from the fulsom prison area and because males are jet blackjonnycashi? is that a joke? or did they really name a species after Mr.Cash?
