This has been a special night for me in my spider keeping adventures and love, so I had to share on this forum! Our P. Ecclesiasticus, which is one my shyest spiders, had been hidden in her cork for far longer than usual! Molt maybe?? I had been fighting a mold outbreak in her enclosure and to cut to the chase...lost! Kept her dry as I could because of this. But finally made the decision to rehouse. One I didn't make lightly as she will make any of my Cyriopagopous blush. Got the surprise of my 4 plus yrs T obsession! She was on a Phantom sack! Had her since a sling and she had never been paired. Suspected she was female because once when luring her to the top of her cork bark she came up drumming like crazy! Sack was full with what I estimate around 80 to 100 + beautiful little eggs! Actually my second sac as my Phormingochilus Rufus dropped one after being paired but it spoiled! Never sexed this spider through molt but I now feel confident I do indeed have a girl .lol! I need a male for her for I feel she is on fire to be a momma! A very defensive one as well. Take care Tarantula Forum!!
