Possible death curl?

Hello there, I have a Lasiodora parahybana sling, around 3cm maybe 2. The sling just molted 2 and a half days ago, I was super excited because I have gotten two other molts out of my other T’s and it’s been doing just fine. Today I was going to offer a little a food and I noticed it was curled up a bit (right side up) but still responsive. It has moved a bit since I added some wet paper towel to the enclosure as I was afraid it was dehydrated. I just wanted some advice as I have never owned one of these until now, I’ve also never experienced this with any of my other T’s. Thanks in advance!

Can we get pics of the enclosure and the spider? I would wait just a few more days before trying to feed, just to make sure their fangs are all hardened. The curling up could just be them stretching in weird positions, but we are going to need pictures for that.

Please take out the wet paper towel. It produces fetid bacterial conditions that will kill a sling. moist substrate with proper ventilation produces the best environment for your sick sling. Good luck.

Okay I went ahead and did that. I got the sling just with moist substrate and ventilation. Is the sling dehydrated or ill?

That is good news. Best option, keep it hydrated in its regular enclosure (moist substrate, and tiny water dish) and hope for the best.

I was going to suggest better circulation as well and making sure the substrate is damp and not sopping wet. It also help to only wet one corner or half the enclosure to ensure its not too wet.
