So, I am seriously considering this spider, tell me about them,
I don't want to look at generic care sheets I want to hear from folks who have them.
anything other than basic Poeci care needs, if there's anything special about these particular T's etc.
I'm only going to have one Poeci, (because they are beautiful) so consider this research.

I've only had a single P. miranda before, so it may not represent the species as a whole. They're a very plain looking pokie. Nothing wrong with that, of course. It's all a matter of taste. Mine was very calm (which seems to be the norm for this species, from what I've heard), one of my calmest pokies. But I've had a lot of success with most of my Ts being very calm.

It was out often enough for an OW species, which honestly isn't a whole lot. But it definitely wasn't scrunched up in a corner or hidden in a burrow (most of the pokie species I've had would burrow or make web curtains, but the P. miranda never did). Most pokies spend their time hanging behind their cork bark hides or in the back corners of enclosures, although it really depends on how you set up the enclosure. I've always been one to provide many hiding places.

Care's pretty much like any other pokie. I'd have one again if I had the space, and already had some of the other species I want. I personally like the black and white ones (P. formosa and P. miranda) than the P. regalis types.

Not sure if they are the same in this aspect but my Ghost is out in the open 85% or more of the time :)
Ha. I've named my P. metallica Ghost too! Purely because of how fast, effortlessly and gracefully it can move when it wants too. It can pretty much just teleport tbh. I can also safely say it is out on display 100% of the time. It's only webbed a little bit and doesn't hide behind it.

I haven't been able to locate anybody locally that has/had miranda.
I did go to MBT's website and in his comments, states these are often out in the open.
My P. striata is always visible, can't say that about my hanumavilasumica or tigrinawesseli, they are the more the reclusive type. Lol!

I rather like the simplicity of their coloration, not the prettiest of them, but they appeal to me, I'm a bit eclectic anyway but sometimes less is more ^^

Anyone with poec experience know which ones are out on display the most?

I've had P. miranda, subfusca, metallica (only a few months now, with a sling), formosa, and regalis. Maybe some others I don't remember. They're all out pretty much the same, although the P. metallica is more skittish than any other pokie I've owned. Pokies are definitely on display more than many other OW species, but it really depends on how you set up the enclosures and where you keep the enclosures. They're out more when the entire enclosure is kept in the dark.

I went to a breeders place, he had multiple Poecis all against one wall. When we walked into his brightly lit t room, every single one of those big beauties was out on their cork or on the glass. The only thing I can think of is that the heat brings them out. That room had to be 85-90 degrees. I never asked about it because I had to reel in my tongue and then an adult female klassi caught my eye and I forgot to ask him. That was the day I got my metallica, albopilosum and pulchra, all females. I miss that room.

If this is so, then I would definitely look into this and hope that our clime will give me a more visible pokie. :D
