Im trying to get an idea if my little hairy T is a boy or girl. Ive been looking online for pics but havent got a good example of male and females. I understand the best way is wait till it molts and send the shed out for testing.
But for my own courisoty till that time. If anyone has a pic of their female I can compare mine to
Id appreciate it.
THanks

actually just the spider it's self. if I understand right the female is thicker than the male body and legs. Im just trying to get the best guess I can till the molt. once that happens ill send it out to be tested.
Thanks

Immature males and females look the same, so unless it's a mature male there will be no difference.

cool. not sure of the age either. So its going to be a guessing game till the little one molts. no biggie either way. though as long as its happy and in good shape.

You can try to see if your T has a horizontal slit on its underside between the book lungs…this is not 100% accurate but if you see a slit there's a good chance you've got a female. Males characteristically have a round-shaped spot in this area, known as the "bull's eye". Also in females there is usually more space vertically between the two pairs of book lungs.
