P. Everetti Question

So I’ve had this little girl since about 1cm she’s now 2 inches just over 5 cm, thing is I know as slings as most do, tend to burrow but then move to there natural habitat when they start getting bigger. So my P Everetti is supposed to be arboreal but keeps burrowing anyone know what could be the problem? Just not big enough yet?

Does she have good hiding spott´s up in the terarrium, maybe its to open for her, maybe she is just strange, think there is not much you can do besides giving her both option´s and let the spider decide what´s pleasing her most. But could be wrong, pretty new here and dont have any aboreal species by now.

I give her the option of both now where as before, because it was a sling I kept it like most others and it burrowed now it’s in a bigger enclosure with the chance to be arboreal but still acting fossorial I don’t know whether to rehouse it into a fossorial setup again for a few moults as there is an option to burrow In the new setup but it’s only about an inch and a half deep. And that’s as deep as I can get it as the substrate will overflow if I make it deeper

Providing theres no chance she could be about to moult right now, I'd be tempted to rehouse and have the corkbark in deep substrate (3-4inches maybe), to give her the option to burrow at the base + come up to hang out when it wants to. But that is only my thought and I'm sure someone on here whose kept one could give you the definitive answer.

I’ve raised it from under 1cm it’s about 6cm now, I’m just going to rehouse it to give it the options, really thought it would have been big enough to utilise the cork bark tube in an arboreal setup but guess not yet as it’s chosen to burrow again and the setup isn’t right for a decent burrow so, rehouse it is then, try again after another moult

I'd just let it be in the current setup where it has an opportunity to burrow a little and climb - My P. tigrinawesseli and P. vittata slings (diagonal leg span close to 10 cm) do also hide in the small burrows instead of the cork bark tube etc. and climb around the enclosure when it's calm and quiet - It's not unusual for arboreal slings to not use the cork tube at first. They are fragile little things after all :D
