Thanks to all. Ceratogyrus, just as you and Alyeskawolf said, my OBT has webbed up and doesn't try to escape as much at feeding. Of course, I've also got it in the bigger deli cup and I open and close the lid like lightning, too. As for being brave for taking one on as a newbie, I attribute the decision more to ignorance than courage. I'm not so brave that I've taken the lid off for an extended period to poke around and search for pinhead cricket boluses. But I need to, right? Isn't there a mold danger for leaving them lying around? Also, I've noticed some boluses in this and other deli cups simply disappear. I know the crickets aren't escaping, because I pre-kill them for my two little babies. Do the T's bury them in the substrate?

Again, many thanks to all for your helpful and entertaining comments. I've got a beginner's zeal. I'm actually starting to miss my special babies when I'm away from them.

I just ordered a .5 sling of a Ceratogyrus marshalli from Ken. And another spider I've been wanting forever (I raise spiders too) A Black Widow. Can you give me advice on how to care for a sling so small? My smallest sling is my OBT and he was...around 1.5...maybe a bit smaller.

I am so excited I loved that T the moment I laid eyes on it. Im ecstatic, and def want it to be with me a long time, so any advice id really welcome, cause I am new to one so small.

Then you'd love the Psalmapoeus Genus, they do not possess urticating hairs. They rely on speed, and venom. Also I've never seen Avic flick hairs, Tapinauchenius also do not have urticating hairs relying on speed and venom.

Tried Psalmopoeus and Tapi's and they just didn't do it for me. For me pokies are the arboreal way to go. :)

When your collection eventually gets too big, you will probably start looking at the genera that you prefer and focus more on those.
Space and time wise I just can't keep all the Genera, so decided to focus on just a few old worlds.

I'm actually enlarging my collection, just coming to large cages over a 100. That excludes slings, communal setups. I'm now changing an outside building, this will be an added T room. I am now focusing on a certain area, arboreal T's. I'm actually already drawing up a new order, will see how it goes.

Martin can you give me some advice on how to care for a .5 inch sling? I've never had a sling so small. I have a few days before he or she arrives. I ordered a 16oz deli cup with it. It is for a Ceratogyrus marshalli.
