So, I've been having nightmares of my slings escaping and biting me or my other pets. I know for a fact their enclosures are secure, but I was wondering if it was my Arachnophobia kicking in. I'm brand new to this hobby, so, I was just curious, has anyone else had nightmares about their Tarantulas? Did you do anything to help limit them? Thanks xD

I've had some weird dreams for sure but none of them scared me necessarily...
I've had them about them growing to be dog sized and me walking them on a leash...
Growing Godzilla sized and I had to hide them from the government and also find live prey huge enough to satisfy them. I was kidnapping evil people to feed to them :D
I've also had a dream one ate my daughter, that one was slightly scary until I woke up.

As far as keeping them at bay, maybe having a nighttime routine of checking each enclosure and making sure its secure would bring you peace of mind. (I used to have dreams that I was late to work on days I didn't get my things ready the night before. As soon as I had my things ready and all together before bed, my anxious dreams had stopped.) It really helps set your worries at ease. :)

Once had a dream where I was pairing my mature female LP to another female, and disaster happened. Also something to do with asian forest scorpions or something. But dreams like these can happen time to time.

Well said! Thanks for sharing your dreams and your advice. I think you hit the nail on the head. I think our dreams can sometimes reflect our concerns/ anxiety we take with us to bed, like not getting your things ready ahead of time. Your dreams about supersized tarantulas in the other hand, were so wonderful. It made me chuckle. Maybe they had to do with you wanting or waiting for your tarantulas to grow.

Dreams can also serve as alerts sometimes. My sister told me that she had a dream recently that she was trying to use the bathroom but I would not let her. Apparently I was in the bathroom with her and kept telling her that she could not use the toilet. She woke up and realized she really had to go.
