Hi, i am completely all new to this world and trying to understand mine. I was told he was still a sling cause of his size but not really sure how to care for him. From what i have read, i wanna say he is trying to molt but im not sure. He has built a hammock like web which he stays in and barely moves as well as is not eating..

So what set up do you have this little avicularia in??? Your photos suggest you've had it in two different. Enclosure setups for avicularia are very important to their survival. Please turn that light off immediately...that will kill it quickly.

Set up looks great except for the light. Lights cause heat which will lead to dehydration. Also tarantulas hate lights. I use florescent lights not attached to my enclosures so I can see while doing maintenance. Since it's made a hammock it's probably getting ready to molt since its refusing food. Just keep that water dish full while it's in premolt.

Thank you. He did in fact molt this past Saturday night. I am just having trouble trying to figure out if he is a sling, juvenile, or adult. This is not the best picture beings he is being stubborn when I am home from work. But it's what i have been able to get. I had him in a cup for just a second so i could fix his enclosure. And i only had the light as my room never wants to get warm, stays on the cold sidw for some reason
