I went to the Dixie Reptile Show and got some new babies!

A couple green bottle blues, A. hentzi, A. anax, A. juruenicola and *drum roll please*

Homoeomma sp blue

I also got to meet Kelly Swift! And a cool guy named Bart. :)

Thanks everyone!

The Homoeomma is a specie of which I had seen pics and read of them, but had never seen them. I am so stoked about it. Everyone has been repotted and is doing well.

The juruenicola is a beast! As soon as I inserted the tongs (rubber tipped) to coax it into the new inclosure it attacked them and held on! Wow.

It may be something in the air though. My N. chromatus, who has never given me an attack pose, actually flipped on his back at wanted to rip my face off when I was rehousing him. Typically he just curls up and tries to hide.

Congrats! Reptile shows are "awful" aren't they? I end up coming home with something almost every time :)

YES! Just picked up my Trinidad last weekend at a show. I was convinced that this time I was only coming home with "food". I am down to a few very rare species on my want list now. So, need to find some restraint or figure out a way to squeeze another enclosure in. But at least I only came home with one ;). Progress.

I "hate" shows. I typically go with a list...and never follow it. :) Though I am still figuring out what I truly enjoy in the hobby. I am finding old world arboreals don't do it for me, nor do mostly fossorial species. I love the big bulky new world terrestrials.

Well, if you see my list, that pretty much sums up most of my T's :). I do admit that it is hard for others to appreciate my awesome collection of "enclosures" as my guys are rarely out when I want to show them off. However, I am a night guy and that is when action starts in my Invert room. I have 10 scorpions that also fall into that category. This is how I justify owning so many (relatively speaking guys as many of you have vast collections). The more I have, the higher the chance of actually seeing one. Next plunge is True Spiders but don't usually see them at shows so I am safe :T:

I actually have a familiar vendor who has all kinds of true spiders and brings them to the shows :) almost came home with a trapdoor and a six eyed sand spider the other day!

They are both on my want list! The six eyed is such a unique arachnid. Actually have about six different species of trapdoors that I am looking at right now. They will be mine! Not a lot of true spider options out there. I have found a little here and a little there but hope to find a supplier that specializes in it. Not optimistic....

Chicago. Ken is on my list. Bought several T's and Scorpions from him. Big thumbs up. But most of my species are not on his current list at least. Maybe Spring will bring more out?

They are great! I highly recommend them to anyone in the area. Tell them I sent you though, we help each other out quite a bit ;)
