I just got my Coco golden tarantula today. First day at home. I have it in the bathroom because there’s not a draft in there because I had it in anyway so there’s a blue light in there because it’s a night light and the tarantula seems to have crawled out from under its rock and is on the wall facing the blue light. Is that dangerous or is it a problem or do I need to move it? Does anybody know? Thank you for your comments if you have any ideas

Hello and welcome. I am not aware of blue light causing harm to Tarantulas. They can't see red light supposedly though as a side thought.

Welcome to the forum & the hobby. Many of those who have bio active enclosures use blue light, as plants need blue light. Sunlight / white light, contains blue light.

When I had a bio active enclosure, I used a special light for plants that produced blue & red light & my T came to no harm.

If you want to, you could always place something on that side of the enclosure. To shield your T from the direct light. A piece of card, or similar, would be fine.

The biggest issue is Tarantulas need some daylight, some night. As most will be far more active at night. So from a stress perspective. Dark nights are advisable.

Welcome to a great forum. I use a night light to imitate moonlight. Never had an issue. Blue light should be okay as well. Have fun and enjoy our hobby.

I’m aware that my T will molt soon.
Not to feed, any feed bk
I’m here in San Antonio, which is typically moderately warm summer’s way too hot now but anyway we’ve had a couple of cold days so I decided you know I got a pamper my new baby so I went to the pet store and I got a two white heater I am putting it underneath the terrarium And I’m worried about it getting too hot so I went ahead and put two pencils on either side of the heater taping them to the mat so it doesn’t get too hot. I’ve noticed that there is some moisture. I’m seeing on the enclosure floor so it’s definitely getting warmer. I’m just that’s why I got 2 watts should possibly I have it on the side of the enclosure instead of underneath the enclosure. This is the size that when I bought my golden knee from the pet store this is the size they recommended and they put the soil and impact it down . I collided my own branches and rock and Oak leaves and I wash them in dove soap and I baked them in the oven so they would be safe. I heard that’s what we’re supposed to do anyway sorry I got a little long winded today thank you all for your responses. I appreciate ya

Yes, it most likely is stressed. Tarantulas are particularly sensitive to it. Purple or red led is recommended because t's can't really see it. Since you're not permanently keeping it in the bathroom, it's fine.
