Hey guys ...ive had a Gaint blonde for about 9 months. When I bought him he was super small , smallest Tarantula I have ever seen. He grew really fast...and after he's last molt was almost 2 cm. He molted about 7 days ago..and when I wanted to rehouse him today I saw that he was stiff and his back legs curled under his body. So sad...as I was very exited to watch him grow into an adult. Is this common amongst slings or did I do something wrong?

Hey thanks for the reply!... I kept him in a basic 10×10cm vivaruim and half of his enclosure was on a heating pad because it has been freezing for the last 2 weeks. But I have a thermometer and the coldest nights were about 15°C in his enclosure

I have a giant blonde. I had her from 1.5 cm and now at 9 inches. Sorry about your loss. Raising slings is an art everyone has yet to master. I guess losing slings are part of the hobby as well. A month ago I had a new batch of slings:
smithi - 37 slings
albiceps - 5 slings
vagans - 3 slings
albopilosum - 3 slings
parahybana - 12 slings
rosea rcf - 5 slings
obt rcf - 10 slings
marshalli - 11 slings
balfouri - 6 slings
I already lost 2 slings in a month. A smithi due to a bad molt and an obt rcf due to an unknown reason as well... As I've said i think it's part of the hobby

Here's my Brazilian Giant Blonde. She just molted 5 days ago. And I already found a mature male. I'll try to pair them in 2 weeks time.
