What if scorpions ventured into the ocean?

A pelagic marine scorpion. The ocelli have become massive compound eyes that can see well in low-light.

Note the pectines- which have become swimming appendages, along with the modified fourth pair of legs.

Fun Fact- the original concept art of this creature was meant to be non-crustaceous and was actually intended to be phallic in appearance. I didnt know that til i realized it looked like a richard and learned the original design would've caused an M-rating lololol

Theyre closest to horseshoe crabs, actually.

Theyre chelicerates but not arachnida

Giant Pterapede

Has a membrane between the first six pairs of limbs adapted for gliding. gliding motion resembles a traditional kite. found in areas with abundant stalagmites.

i mentally thought stalactite as i typed stalagmite. Derp.

Anyway, I had a little art challenge thing goin' on in facebook where i'd accept requests back in the day, someone said draw a flying centipede so I did it lol

Your technique is awesome. I love the colors and how you highlight and shade. It looks so realistic. You are very talented.

My buddy did tattoos for years and years. Fun fact, sneaking a Richard into a collage is part of the business—especially for drunk aholes. I know dudes that spent a lot of time in prison, got all sleeved up with the typical stuff, richards sprinkled around in their Celtic designs.

Anyhow, I enjoy your artwork very much. And I agree, you could make money off these.

havent been able to work lately due to a stylus breaking on me. Maybe i'll just switch back to traditional works...
