I haven't posted here for a while. Life happens.

What's the best (most reasonable) huntsman or wandering spider.

I'll always love my Ts, but it would be interesting to see what makes true spiders the same or different.

I'm assuming that both are arboreal like pokies...

Or maybe I should finally get around to getting a Singapore blue or the red form OBT, which is hands down awesome.

I recently got a Heterapoda sp. David Bowie that was microscopic and has molted twice for sure! Speed is off the chart! Tiny! Smaller when it came than my A. Geniculata that was sold at .33". Speed and size if you go with a huntsman unless you find a juvie or an adult and the speed will be there regardless! And OBTs, well I adore OBTs. One of the coolest T's in the hobby far as I am concerned

We had a Litchen Huntsman, Pandercetes gracilis. Who my wife called Wally, as in the book, where is Wally. As it was difficult to spot.

Another species worth considering is a Linothele. These are primitive spiders, as opposed to spiders or tarantulas. They grow to impressive size & look amazing. I currently have two. A megatheloides & sericata.

I honestly think Holconia species are the best if you can get your hands on them. They start off pretty bolty when unpacked but once they settle in they seem to be aware of what is going on and are pretty chill. They could still bolt, so always be aware of that. They also don't usually randomly die off like other huntsman spiders and are kept dry with a water dish. Make sure to mist one side of the enclosure once per week as well.
