I just noticed this small white spot near my A. Avicularia M6 slings mouth
Does this look like nematodes or mites?
if so is my collection compromised?
This was the best picture I could get

It looks like poop to me? - tarantula seem to end up with it on them in the most unusual places a bit like kids getting themselves filthy :D
It looks far too 'white' to be anything else imo :)

Jeremy -
Your photo isn't very good and my eyes are getting old. But it appears that there's a white "smudge" near the top, rear of the tarantula's prosoma. There is no mouth there. The mouth is on the bottom-front of the prosoma, usually hidden between and under the chelicerae and fangs.

I agree with the others, it looks like feces. But if that's true we must somehow explain how it got it on top and way far forward (half a body length) from its anus!

A better photo might be helpful.

Until then, your guess is as good as mine!
