hi!!! (im bram 11 yrs old from netherlands) sooo, im looking to get a gbb (2 inch) and i need an enclosure without a mesh lid, and the right ventilation, and everything to fit inside so 18 x 12 x 12 inch. however, there are no good enclosures for sale, so now im kinda stuck. i need space for a climbing thing, a waterdish and some walking space. so i had the idea to make my own background or however i should call it and then put some Cork bark with spray foam to make it stick so my gbb can climb on that so i don't need the space for a climbing thing pls tell me down bellow what i should do (thank you :) )

Hello Bram, welcome to the forum & the hobby.

Like many her I use a mixture of commercially made enclosures & random household containers, with airholes melted into them. Personally I do not use spray foam, as I hate the stuff & only use it for DIY jobs & only then, if it really is, the best solution for the job.

GBB's are strange T's, they like some height. But can be kept in terrestrial enclosures equally happily. Providing it has a few inches above the substrate.

thank you for welcoming me!

i like the sound of that i don't need something massive for her to climb on
and because of that, now im pretty sure that a

Repto Terra Clear acryl terrarium 12 x 8 x 6 inch is enough, and i'l look for random containers in my house if i have some

sorry for the weird font if you see it, there might be nothing wrong with this font

Actually, if you can find and 8 inch by 8 inch enclosure that would probably be more suitable since you could monitor her and it gives her the perfect amount of space so that she can have area to roam around but still feel comfortable. Welcome to tarantula forum! If you have any other questions you should post them on arachnoboards too because that forum is a lot more active.
