Looking for info on how to be a professional breeder (CANADA)

Hi guys. I’ve been keeping spiders my entire life and a few years ago started breeding them as a hobby. I’ve bred 3 times so far; my Albo twice to two different males and my H Mac once. I have 20+ different species of mature females but I specifically picked these two to breed because I’ve owned them since slings, they come from a reputable source, they are visually perfect specimens, and their personalities are great. I had success selling all of my slings locally and it was great pocket money for very little work.

I am really inspired by the vendors I’ve purchased from over the years and I’d like to join their ranks but I have a few questions.

Do most vendors breed ALL of their tarantulas, or is it common to buy slings from a secondary source and sell them? If so, I’m wondering where to get wholesale slings. For example—I currently can’t find Albo slings for under $10, but I don’t want to buy 100 ($1000) and then sell them for $20 each because people will just buy $10 ones. So where would I get wholesale Albos?

Where do you advertise? I already know some places I can advertise, but I’d love to hear some suggestions.

What kind of licensing does this require? I already looked into this but I’m getting mixed answers. I currently do not intend to ship spiders out of Canada so I am not worried about import or export laws. When it comes to sending them to different provinces, as far as I know Canada is very relaxed on that, but I will do more research ahead of time so I know if a certain species cannot enter a certain province.

And finally, please drop any extra info you have. I want to know everything and be fully prepared before I start.
