Well I notice one of my Cobalt Blues has been sitting out in the open for a few days. It hasn't eaten and it'll move a leg or two but it doesn't seem to want to move at all. It's plenty moist in there.. Just wondering if I should try the spice icu on it?

Whats a spice icu? I know what an icu is, I just don't know what a spice icu is...:) And to be perfectly honest, I'm not convinced icu's do any good. You said its plenty moist and humid, so..maybe it's the odd pre molt behavior they exhibit sometimes? Is it too moist maybe? See any mold or mites? I'm just giving you my check list, don't be offended Roo..;) I just lost one of my versis so I know how it feels to not know what the hell is wrong..It has me double checking and questioning myself after a few years of supreme confidence in my spider care..

It's cool, I can look at a snake and say "Yea I know what's wrong with it". Spiders I'm still learning, just have confidence with aggressive species. It was a bit of a false alarm, I think. I was about to dig it out to get a better look and it walked away so I guess it's fine. I may end up moving them into smaller containers later in the week. I was really surprised because I (stupidly) had my hand in there to get it out and it just walked over my fingers and off somewhere else. Guess it could be scared/stressed or premolt. Container may be too big for it but we'll see what happens when I move them into something smaller.

Forgot to say, by my hand I mean I was dusting the earth away from it's sides so I could scoop it out, didn't try and pick it up with my fingers XD

I've had a lividium for 3 years, my female..she bit the girl that sold her to me, she pinch grabbed her, lol. Anyway, she's never been defensive, just skittish and fast, very fast for a terrestrial. Or fossorial. She jumps too. Never a threat pose though, I could almost guarantee I could safely handle her, I just don't handle mine often, and she's always hiding anyway.

I'd bite someone if they pinch grabbed me too.
Well, depends on who pinch grabbed me, in my case. I'd either bite, or throw my hooks up and take control of the situation..o_O lol. But it was actually an attempted pinch grab. The lividum did a quick spin and BAM. Ayuh, catch cups R gooder ;)

I really doubt any enclosure is too big. In fact, often enclosures aren't deep enough for these guys. I've had them burrow over 12 inches down.

Is the spider new? It's likely just getting accustomed. Haplopelma(and many burrowers) tend to sit around like that for a long time when newly introduced, but once they've got a burrow you'll rarely see more than legs.

yea it's new. I was just a bit put off as my other C.blue is roughly the same age (got it from a friend of mine) and is your typical ball of hate living in a silk cave.

Well slight update. I cleared some plastic plants out of their tanks and piled some loose substrate around them (not too high or deep). They decided to flatten it out and instead of burrowing they have make silk tunnels to hide in. So I guess that's a positive :D

I just rehoused my lividum and my marshalli. They burrowed and stayed that way for the longest time. It was selfish of me, but they'll either cope with less substrate or I'll sell them. Not gonna own a box of dirt, and never see my spider.
